As all parents know it can be difficult to get your children to eat their vegetables and greens.  However, studies have shown that picking and preparing food together is a successful strategy to get children to eat healthy foods.  This class will help get you started.

Tour the farm and join Renee Chodkowski, The Great Foodini for a really fun program designed for preschoolers and elementary age children and a parent.  Kids will be introduced to the Great Foodini Bucket ‘O Joy, make a really yummy breakfast treat, and sample a variety of organic produce right from the farm.

2015 Market Shares Are Now Available

Even on a cold and blustery day we have produce growing in our hoop houses. It needs to be sunny and in the 20's to harvest, but we are hoping to have a few of those days in late January to start offering our greens again.

Our 2015 Market Shares are now available.  We will only be offering 75 shares this year, but once we are sold out we will gladly add you to our waiting list for 2016. Your Market Share not only gives you a 10% bonus for your purchase, but it also provides you with access to our Farm to Table Events and discounts on some of our classes.  For more details, please check out our Market Share page on our website.

Happy Holidays from Stone Coop Farm!  We hope you have a joyous season and take some time to enjoy family and friends.  We are taking a little time off right now as well, but will be busy again in no time.

Just wanted to share a photo of the farm at night.  Not something many of you get a chance to see.  The moon is reflecting on the side of one of our hoop houses. It looks like Christmas lights!


Also we have some hungry visitors - sheep! Our visiting sheep are warm, fuzzy and pregnant. They are eating our old crops in the fields and providing us with some wonderful manure that brings lots of fertilization and micro-organisms into our soil. They will be here for a couple more weeks and then will come back in the spring with their lambs.  I can't wait to see those cute little lambs!
